A Swiss woman has lost her job because of Facebook.  She called in sick to work at Nationale Suisse Insurance company stating that she had a really bad headache and couldn’t work in front of a computer. One of her colleagues saw her logged in to Facebook from home using the online friends feature and word spread around the office until management heard about it.

The woman claims that she was lying in bed surfing Facebook on her iPhone, and accused her employer of sending a mysterious friend request in order to spy on her and her activities online.

National Suisse Insurance rejected the claim of spying and said that it was indeed a true “friend” of the woman who had inadvertently let management know about her being online.

Facebook has since been blocked at the company so if you work there and you’re going to call in sick, you may now use facebook without them watching!
